Engineering skills for AI agents and CAD tools.

OpenEngineer is an open-source framework for AI-usable engineering skill packs and CAD driver packs.

Skills define what and how to design. Drivers define where to execute. OpenEngineer connects them through an open capability contract.

A modular engineering layer

Skill Packs

Reusable engineering knowledge: domain rules, CAD recipes, calculators, validators, reports, examples and tests.

CAD Drivers

Execution adapters for CAD systems such as Fusion 360, FreeCAD, Onshape, SolidWorks, Rhino and others.

Capability Contract

A common interface that matches what a skill requires with what a driver can actually execute.

First domain pack

OpenEngineer Profile Tube Pack

The first planned domain pack focuses on profile tube structures: joint libraries, connection selection rules, CAD primitives, preliminary calculators, validators, BOM, cut lists and product scenarios such as workbenches, racks, gates and canopies.

Early engineering calculations and recommendations are preliminary only and require qualified review for structural, commercial or safety-critical use.
